Northmere Press / Publishing policies

Access & author rights

Research is more useful when readers can reach it and authors understand their rights.

Open access

The intended model for these journals is immediate open access to published articles, without a reader subscription or registration requirement. Submissions remain private until the author expressly agrees to publication.

Copyright and licensing

Authors retain copyright in their work. The standard proposed article license is Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), which allows reuse, adaptation and commercial use with attribution. The applicable license must be agreed before publication and displayed on the article.

Uploading a manuscript does not grant a public license. It grants only permission to store, access and process the material for submission assessment and related communication. Third-party material may have separate rights, which must be identified.

Sharing and preservation

Authors may share preprints and should disclose them at submission. The publication agreement will describe sharing of the final article. No exclusive transfer of copyright is required under the proposed model.

No external long-term preservation service is currently represented as active. Authors should retain copies of their work and use a suitable institutional or subject repository. Indexing and identifier arrangements, if introduced, will be described accurately on the site.
