Northmere Press / Publishing policies

Review & publication

A clear description of the review a submission receives is part of a trustworthy publication.

The current publication model

Northmere Press is accepting founding submissions for its three journals. The current model is editorial screening, not external academic peer review. The site does not offer or represent publication as peer-reviewed. Each published article will state the review process it actually received.

Screening considers fit with the journal, completeness, clarity, attribution, permissions and identifiable integrity or ethics concerns. It is not certification of scientific validity, independent replication or expert validation of every claim.

Broad scope, clear requirements

Research need not report a positive, surprising or fashionable result. Replications, negative results, methods, careful conceptual work and documented cases are welcome when they fit the journal. Work must distinguish evidence from speculation and explain relevant limitations.

A submission may proceed, require clarification or revision, or be declined if it falls outside the scope or cannot meet the stated requirements. Submission and payment do not guarantee publication.

From submission to publication

Authors first submit a manuscript or a research proposal. A receipt confirms that the material was stored; it is not an acceptance decision. Authors can check their submission through the private tracking link issued on receipt.

Before any publication, the author must agree to the final manuscript, the disclosed review status, any publication fee and the publication agreement. No publication date or turnaround is guaranteed. A proposal does not reserve publication of a later manuscript.

Publication status and discovery

These are new journals accepting founding submissions. No indexing, impact factor, accreditation, DOI registration or institutional recognition is promised. Authors should check their own funder and institution requirements before proceeding.

Changes to the review model will be described publicly and will not retrospectively change the review status of earlier articles.
